Washateria
On-site laundry: a washateria on the grounds
A clean, well-maintained washateria for guests, so a long stay never means a town run.
A clean washateria, kept up for the people staying here
Birthplace of Texas RV Park has a washateria on the grounds. We describe it the way we want guests to find it: clean and well maintained, there for your convenience. It is not a destination and it does not need to be. It is the thing that lets a trip run smoothly when the road has been long and the bins in the rig are full.
The park sits along Highway 105 between Navasota and Brenham, and the nearest town is a drive away. Having the wash on the grounds means laundry day happens on the grounds, not as a half-day errand with the rig left behind.

Why a washateria matters when a stay runs for weeks
Overnight guests can wait until home to wash a load. Monthly guests cannot. Our Google reviews come from people who have stayed a month and planned two more, who have lived here for almost a year, and who have made the park their permanent home. When a trailer is your address, laundry stops being an extra and becomes part of the week.
Rick Ellis, one of those guests, wrote that "The owner is in the process of building a washroom because he had listened to our desires." That line says a lot about how this park is run. Guests ask for something practical, and it gets heard.
Whether you are with us for a night on the way across Texas or a season under the oaks, the washateria is part of what makes a long stay feel like living somewhere instead of camping out.
Laundry day on the road: small habits that save time
Plan the wash around the rest of your day. Early mornings and mid-afternoons tend to be quieter at most laundry rooms anywhere, and a full-timer who sorts clothes at the rig before heading over spends less time standing around. Bring your own detergent and a laundry basket or bag that is easy to carry, and ask us on the phone at (713) 306-4847 if you want to know what to expect before you arrive.
Keep a lightweight mesh bag for delicates and a second bag for anything that needs to stay separate. Check pockets before you leave the rig. Fold in the washateria if you can, so the load goes straight back into the cabinets without wrinkling on the walk.
If you are headed to Brenham or out to see Washington-on-the-Brazos, fit a load in before you go. The park is open 24 hours, so your own rhythm decides when laundry gets done. Call the number above, or use the reservation form, and tell us how long you plan to stay.
